    Description


    We are looking for Cloud Engineers to join our Cloud Competency Center where you will configure and deploy infrastructure in Azure and will build, operate, and scale more than 200 OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms operating in both public and private clouds.

    These platforms are responsible to host Amadeus global platforms server over 200 airlines, 6000 hotel properties, etc.

    By joining our team, you will be at the forefront of Amadeus technology transformation as it enables all our business segments to leverage the capabilities of a modern cloud-native application.


    In this role youll:

    Be part of a Cloud Infra SRE (Service Reliability Engineering) Team which owns and manages the Cloud Infrastructure end to end.

    Design and deploy cloud Infrastructure components / services to support the migration to Public Cloud.
    Understand technical and architectural designs for problem solving.

    Work closely with Architects and Software Engineers from various product teams to implement new initiativesConduct proof of concepts and studies to deploy new hardware or software functionalities to the IaaS platformParticipate in architectural discussions and design exercises to build and automate large scale Infra and services migrations to cloud.

    Participate and contribute to troubleshooting activities on issues related to Cloud Deployment and DeliveriesWork with Cloud providers for bug fixing Incident Recovery and implementation of latest features.


    Automation/DevOps:
    Identify areas of improvement and drive automation developments.
    Write Infrastructure as Code modules.


    About the ideal candidate:

    Experience:
    Bachelors degree or higher.
    Experience running a sizeable environment hosts)Solid grasp of scalability, stability, and security challenges of a customer-centric, cloud-based applicationsMinimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in Cloud Administration, Deployments, and migration role.

    Experience in an engineering or a technical expert role, with exposure to Operating System & AutomationTechnical Skills:
    Expertise in any of the Public Cloud Offerings.

    (Preferably Azure)Hands on experience with managing and deployment of Azure Infrastructure Components like Virtual network, Subnets, Network Security Groups, Route Tables.

    Thorough understanding of Network Components like Express Route, Firewalls (Palo Alto), DNS.Experience in managing other Azure resources like VMs, Storage Accounts, Key Vaults, Log Analytics Workspace, Azure Functions.

    Good Understanding and experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
    Experience in scripting / coding in Python, groovy or shell.

    Experience with various CI / CD tools (Jenkins), Source Code Repos (Git/Bitbucket), configuration management tools (Ansible/Puppet/Chef)Knowledge of the Linux Operating System (preferable RedHat)Strong knowledge on software development methodologies like SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) Agile/Scrum/Kanban etc.

    with a broad understanding of enterprise project life cycle.

    Knowledge or Experience on any of the Monitoring Tools like Argos, Grafana, SplunkCertification in Public Cloud, at an Intermediate or Expert level is a plus.

    Basic Understanding of Kubernetes and Containers is a plus.
