Description
Job responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Perform full-cycle recruiting for all positions throughout the Firm.
  • Draft and publish job descriptions and ads on job boards, social media, and other advertising sources;
  • Coordinate and participate in inperson interviews;
  • Conduct preemployment due diligence and reference checks;
  • Work with the Director of HR to create offer letters;
  • Oversee the onboarding process including desk setup, IT requisition, new hire orientation, companywide new hire announcements, parking, suite access, and time clock setup.
  • Manage benefits administration including billing reconciliation, explaining benefits and the enrollment process to new hires, entering deductions in the payroll system, managing terminations and cobra administration, and overseeing yearly open enrollment;
  • Resolving basic employee inquiries
  • Assist in coordinating Firm events and maintaining corporate culture, including creating monthly newsletter and distributing birthday cards;
  • Learn how to process payroll in order to assist in checksandbalances and to backup accounting;
  • Administration of Verification of Employments, EDD, SDI and Work Comp earning statements;
  • Assist with employee terminations including conducting exit interviews as needed and communicating terms to IT;
  • Uphold the utmost level of confidentiality; and
  • Other duties as assigned by the Partners of the firm
  • Assist with all payroll functions through ADP
  • Manage overall office operations, including staffing, onboarding new employees, and provide administrative leadership to obtain office goals.
  • Manage and resolve problems as they arise.
  • Foster positive relationships with attorneys and staff, assist with attorney onboarding.
  • Collaborate with firm management to implement and communicate firm policies and procedures; recommend and implement policies, procedures, and strategies to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Manage PTO requests and backup coverage, approve timecards and follow up with any issues identified in work hours, workload, or timecard practices.
  • Responsible for legal support, general services, and reception staff assignments, addressing problems or complaints, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training.
  • Identify performance strengths and weaknesses and provide feedback. Responsible for completing performance evaluations.
  • Update job descriptions as staff roles evolve and change over time.
  • Assist the firm with special projects as assigned.

Competencies/Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of labor laws;
  • Ability to handle a high level of sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality;
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), organizational and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work effectively with others as well as independently; detailoriented and analytical;
  • Ability to work with all employees in HR matters; and
  • Advanced computer skills; MS Office, Outlook, Adobe, ADP Payroll Systems and typing speed 50 wpm.
  • This position requires physical activity including but not limited to bending, stooping, repetitive motion, and lifting of up to 20 pounds. This position may also require sitting for prolonged periods of time.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years handling fullcycle recruiting
  • Minimum 2 years providing HR administrative support and daytoday HR operations
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field

Pay:
From $78,750.00 per year
