- Leads development of TPE formulation, adhering to customer specifications, quality, and operational goals and standards.
- Contribution to TPE platform technology development through the application of statistical experimental design, product testing, and data analysis.
- Conduct literature and patent searches to guide experimentation.
- Identifies material and other functional specifications to meet customer requirements.
- Has multiple independent projects or joint projects; can work independently or in teams.
- Support marketing and sales through development of product and application data
- Partners with manufacturing to establish quality and testing conditions for new materials.
- Serve as technical resource across businesses.
- Present technical work within R&D, customers or conference with minimal guidance.
- Supervise one or more technicians as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science or Material Science is required. Advanced Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science or Material Science is Preferred.
- Relevant industry experience is preferred.
- Proven technical understanding of polymer science and engineering principles.
- Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: polymer chemistry, polymer structure-properties relationships, polymer processing and polymer characterization.
- Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
