VCSB is looking for a Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) Bridger The PSH Peer Bridger will provide direct Peer Recovery support to individuals with serious mental illness or co-occurring disorders within the community participating in the PSH program.

_Summary of Essential Functions_

  • Provide direct Peer Recovery services to individuals participating in the PSH program.
  • Provide initial and ongoing peer reviews of client's strengths and needs, collaborating with the treatment team.
  • Actively participates in clinical and administrative supervision.
  • Participates in biweekly staff meetings and individual supervision in order to coordinate treatment services and plan service delivery.
  • Utilizes officebased and/or home visits to provide supportive, skillbased services including linking, referring, problemsolving, and consulting to individuals with substance use disorders.
  • Coordinates treatment services with other agencies in order to help individuals achieve stability.
  • Assists VCSB Emergency Services team in providing crisis intervention.

_Minimum Qualifications_
All applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications in order to be considered qualified for the position:

  • High school diploma or GED with identified related experience,
  • The parent of a minor or adult child with mental illness or substance abuse disorder or cooccurring mental illness and substance use disorder or an adult with personal experience with a family member with mental illness or substance use disorder or cooccurring mental illness and substance use disorder,
  • One year of recovery, and
  • Valid Virginia Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
