As a Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, repairing, and optimizing loading dock equipment, overhead doors, and related systems for our clients.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge technology with leading brands like Rytec and make a direct impact on the operational efficiency of our customers.

• Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on loading dock equipment, overhead doors, and associated systems (This includes working independently or in small team as needed)..
• Travel to customer locations to assess equipment, diagnose issues, and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Communicate effectively with customers to explain service requirements and obtain approval for repair work.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and technical manuals to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems (This includes reading electrical voltages and diagnosing electrical issues).
• Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate service schedules, order parts, and ensure timely completion of service jobs.
• Assist in installing new loading dock equipment, overhead doors, and related systems. This includes collaborating with project teams, reading blueprints, assembling equipment, and ensuring installations meet quality standards and safety regulations.
• Document all service activities through our Field Service iPad app, including work performed, parts used, and customer communications, in accordance with company policies.
• Use safe work practices during all job duties including the use of extension ladders, scissor lifts, and power tools.

• Proven experience as a service technician, preferably in the loading dock or commercial door industry.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record; ability to travel to customer sites as needed.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power equipment.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment.

• Physical requirements necessary include standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, most of the time with infrequent opportunities to sit.
• Must be able to lift or exert a force of up to 50 pounds or greater and be on your feet during the entire work shift.
• Ability to work in wet or humid conditions, as well as extreme cold or heat.
• Occasionally may be required to perform work in the evenings or on weekends.

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in mechanical, welding, and/or electrical practices.
• Clean driving record and valid Driver's License.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in mechanical or electrical fields preferred.
• Drug screening & background check.
• Must pass a DOT examination.
