Position Description:


Octane is looking for a Media Buyer to optimize and grow campaigns, analyze competitive reporting, negotiate buys directly or through partner agencies, and assist with business intelligence to help guide our buys.


Reporting to the Director of Integrated Communications, the Media Buyer will work closely with internal and external teams to drive performance results and expand the media portfolio.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Plan, negotiate, buy, and maintain performance media schedules
  • Monitor and manage purchased media to ensure advertising appears as planned
  • Negotiate with vendors to acquire costeffective and budgetconscious advertising opportunities across paid media channels
  • Optimize media spending, making realtime adjustments to meet business goals and objectives
  • Enhance media performance based on KPIs
  • Shape buys to allocate spending to various quality outlets/publishers
  • Engage with media agencies and manage daytoday deliverables
  • Monitor and manage advertising
  • Keep updated with industry trends and best practices in media buying to make solid media recommendations
  • Provide regular reports to management on media buying activities and campaign performance

Requirements:


  • Experience in leading the execution of various media programs
  • Extensive experience with media planning and buying tools
  • Crosschannel buying experience
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong relationshipbuilding and negotiation skills with media partners, vendors, and measurement partners
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Problemsolving and brainstorming proficiency for thoughtful solutions
  • National, regional, or local media planning/buying experience preferred
  • Prior agency experience is a plus

Education and Related Work Experience:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Media, Communications, or a related field or 8 years of equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a strategic and quantitative paid media buying role

Compensation:

$75,000 - $100,000 (commensurate with experience)
