Minimum Qualifications
PLEASE NOTE: BFOQ - Female. This position must be filled by a female.
Master's degree in a Human Services field (i.e., social work, counseling, etc.) and three years of professional experience within the Human Services field is required; or an equivalent of training and experience. Must be currently licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Virginia or be licensed within six months of hire. Experience reflecting the provision of individual and group treatment services and trauma-informed care. Experience using evidence-based practices including the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Criteria preferred. Experience with individuals with co-occurring disorders, including long-term mental illness preferred. Knowledge of Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) practices for substance use treatment is preferred. Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills are required. The selected candidate must be willing to work on a team that includes probation officers and in a jail diversion program that is accountable to the court system, which can involve sanctions for program violations that require jail time to be served. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.
This position is considered Safety Sensitive and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
Duties
The Dual Treatment Track program is an intensive outpatient jail diversion treatment program for individuals identified as meeting criteria for a Serious Mental Illness (SMI) and co-occurring substance use diagnosis who are involved in the criminal justice system. The program is a collaborative team between Chesterfield Mental Health Support Services and Chesterfield Community Corrections providing both clinical services and probation services together in a community setting. The primary function of the Senior Clinician position is to serve as the senior member of the clinical division and is responsible for providing integrated behavioral health services to individuals served and their support system, including evaluation and assessment of needs, treatment planning, outpatient individual therapy, psychoeducation, and psychotherapy groups weekly, and care coordination. In addition to the collaboration with the probation team, this position also functions within a multidisciplinary team through the CSB including case managers, peer recovery specialists, nurses, and psychiatry services to help address recovery from a holistic perspective. This position requires staff to perform mental health diagnostic assessments in a jail setting before the individual is accepted into the program. This position will administer urine drug screens as part of monitoring participation in the program. Perform other work as required.
