Why does the job exist?
The Supervisor, Program Management/IMB Deputy Bureau Chief will:
The Deputy Bureau Chief is needed for a middle manager to assist the Bureau Chief in supervising the three metro Supervisors;
The Deputy will also act as the proxy for all meetings the Bureau Chief needs to attend so upper management will have continuity in leadership.
How does it get done?
The Supervisor, Program Management/IMB Deputy Bureau Chief is responsible for:
Supervising the metro regional supervisors;
Participating in all leadership meetings both at the request of the Director, Deputy Director and the Bureau Chief;
Acting as the proxy for all meetings the Bureau Chief and the other Deputy Bureau Chief regularly attends if unable as well as perform duties of the Bureau Chief when the Bureau Chief requests or is unable to do so;
Performing training and on-boarding functions to assist the Bureau Chief;
Assisting intake duties or staff when needed;
Performing on-call duties when needed/requested;
Working on any requested projects, leadership meetings, or any other request of higher management.
Who are the customers?
All individuals receiving Medicaid waiver services, their families, the provider agencies, the external constituent agencies, internal sister agencies such as DDSD, QMB, BBS, MAD, case managers and consultants, guardians, and the community.

Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited college or university and six (6) years of professional level experience with a tactical impact directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling ten (10) years may substitute for the required education and experience
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Must Possess and maintain a current Defensive driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment.
