- Able to read, write, understand and following directions

- Progressive nursing leadership experience demonstrating solid management is necessary for this nursing position.

- Develop, maintain, and evaluate resident/client and staff data collection systems and processes to support the practice of nursing and the delivery of resident care.
- Collaborate with residential staff at all levels, interdisciplinary teams, executive officers, and other stakeholders in the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services.
- Develop and implement recruitment and retention programs for staff.
- Evaluate factors related to safety, outcomes, effectiveness, cost, and social impact when developing and implementing practice innovations.
- Delegate responsibilities appropriate to license, education, and experience of staff.
- Utilize evidence-based practice to develop and implement standards of practice that guide practice improvement initiatives.
- Recognize the diverse skill levels of individual staff members and the unique needs of the resident population when developing staffing plans; ensures level of staffing for the level of acuity is appropriate 24 hours/day.
- Evaluate staff competency by direct observation, peer review, orientation and employee input, documenting this in the appropriate system.
- Develop and implement effective educational programs designed to assist the staff in the progression from novice to expert in the care of the resident and family.

We are seeking a Care Support Nurse works primarily under the direction of the Director and/or ADON.
Reports to: Asst Director of Nursing/Director of Operations
Qualifications:
Responsibilities:
*Oversee the day to day nursing supervisory operations
*Scheduling of nurses as needed
Prepares medications, administers medications, and treatments with knowledge of purpose and adverse effects of nursing care provided.
Completes all documentation for observation, planning, and evaluation of care provided to residents, including orders by physicians.
Functions in monitoring capacity as assigned for completion of resident's care, employee guidance, and discipline.
Maintains open lines of communication between nursing shifts, as well as other departments, supervisors, physicians, and families of residents.
Acts on the resident's behalf to assure patient rights and to prevent resident abuse and neglect.
Acts on first aid knowledge in emergencies.
Is aware of safety issues, accomplishing responsibilities in a safe manner, and reinforces good safety practices displayed by other staff members.
Can maintain confidentiality of information.
Works as a team Leader/Member.
Is able to perform the following physical activities: Kneeling, Stooping, Standing, Reaching, Pulling/Pushing, Walking, Grasping, Hearing, Talking, Sitting, Repetitive Motions.
Knowledge and Skills:
A little bit about our company. We provide 24-hour care for the most medically fragile individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and have a staff to patient ratio of 1:6. We also care about our employees We're diligently seeking to employ the most dedicated and dependable staff Florida has to offer for our patients.
Job Type: Full-time (8-hour shifts); must be able to work 2 weekends per month and be flexible.
Rate of pay: $28-$32 hour depending on experience
