Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team.

As a Dental Assistant, you will provide essential support to the dental team and ensure the smooth operation of the dental office.

This is a full-time position.


Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing the treatment area, sterilizing instruments, and handing instruments to the dentist
• Take dental xrays
• Prepare materials for impressions and restorations
• Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring and trimming models,
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene, postoperative care, and treatment options
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic systems such as open dental
• Adhere to all HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
• Take and record vital signs of patients
• Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
• Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assisting program preferred
• Xray certification required
• Knowledge of medical documentation, including medical coding and maintaining medical records
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Previous experience in dental assisting 2years
