- Prepares and issues RFI/RFP/RFQs (RFx), manages interactions between potential suppliers and internal crossfunctional team members, and organizes all incoming/outgoing RFx communications and data.
- Evaluates RFx data to establish best value supplier positions.
- Organizes and presents sourcing options with source recommendations for crossfunctional management review, feedback, and source selection.
- Leads negotiation of Long Term Supply Agreements and Master Purchase Agreement amendments including price, milestone event schedules, date(s) of delivery, and other contractual and licensing provisions with suppliers.
- Maintains alignment between Honda and supplier actions and established contractual obligations.
- Serves as the primary Honda Aircraft commercial liaison between supply base and internal crossfunctional stakeholders.
- Coordinates, leads, and facilitates internal and external crossfunctional stakeholders in the development, communication, and execution of project plans for complex sourcing/resourcing initiatives.
- Ensures the successful execution of project management plans through the development and detailed management of integrated master schedules, risk registers, and crossfunction action item lists.
- Maintains commercial ownership of assigned products and suppliers through development and production phases.
- Communicates purchased supply requirements, purchase order changes, purchase order prioritization, and manages supplier execution in alignment with these requirements.
- Identifies, evaluates, and resolves technical, manufacturing, or delivery risks and issues through crossfunctional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manages the return, correction, and redelivery or replacement of nonconforming product.
- Develops and leverages strong intercompany relationships to manage all aspects of supplier performance to meet or exceed established KPI objectives.
- Ensures compliance with procurement guidelines, company policies, and strategic company objectives.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including regulations from the Uniform Commercial Code, FAA, ITAR, Truth in Negotiations Act, False Claims Act, insurance policies, and intellectual property rights.
- Bachelor's degree from fouryear accredited university required. Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Business Administration preferred.
- 5 + years global procurement experience with a minimum of 3 years managing complex projectbased assignments.
- 3 + years experience engaging with and understanding the technical aspects of product design, qualification, and manufacturing processes.
- Previous experience developing, negotiating, and managing contracts.
- Previous experience in a directly related procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or project management role within aviation/aerospace manufacturing industry preferred but not required.
- Supply Chain and/or Project Management certification preferred.
- Multilingual capabilities in Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, French, or German preferred.
- Strong commercial experience, including negotiating, reviewing, constructing, and developing long term agreements for a global Supply Chain.
- Excellent writing ability with prior experience in drafting contractual provisions.
- Thorough understanding of product development, qualification, and production launch processes.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Proficiency in SAP and Teamcenter a plus.
- Selfmotivated nature, able to work effectively without close supervision.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of internal customers.
- Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with suppliers and all levels of company personnel.
