SUMMARY

The Content Designer works alongside the Mahou USA Content Marketing team to assist in campaign development and adaptation, branding and package design, and Trade Marketing asset creation across the portfolio of Mahou USA's brands.

This includes ideating, mood boarding, concepting, and execution which may include graphic design, photo manipulation, illustration, and 3D rendering.

This role will take direction from written or verbal briefs, or visual sketching to translate them into design concepts and design layouts.

They will work closely with all positions in Marketing to develop highly engaging creative content that helps build our consumer awareness, maintain brand authenticity, entice purchase, and promote consumer loyalty to our brands.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Plan, organize and execute projects; assists in developing graphics setting overall style or tone and articulating a vision for design verbally and through drawings;
Delivers and presents concepts and designs to Senior Content Designer, Content Marketing Director, Marketing Director and CMO.

Works collaboratively to ensure design consistency across all platforms.

This includes, but is not limited to:
labels, packaging, campaigns, promotional materials, POS, sales materials, taproom events, truck wraps, and advertising (print and digital);
Assists with label and packaging creative design process in conjunction with Senior Content Designer to develop creative concepts that address key consumer insights and business challenges;
Assists with the conceptual thinking, development and execution of creative materials across all marketing mediums; has potential to lead or perform this function independently as needed;
Collaborates with Marketing Project Coordinator to hit project deadlines while prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously;
Demonstrates attention to detail in reviewing soft and hard copy proofs.

Works with third party design companies to produce content, including, but not limited to: Press checks with printing and packaging companies;
Works with both text and images, image manipulation, photo re-touching, 3D renderings and has excellent illustration skills;
Special projects as assigned by Senior Content Designer;

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Art and Design with an emphasis Graphic Design, Graphic Arts, or a related area.
Experienced with GRAPHICS 2+ years, Adobe CC Suite, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
One to three years related marketing experience preferred, alcohol/beverage industry experience a plus.
Demonstrates ability to translate business strategy and objectives into design concepts.
Ability to thrive in a complex, fast-paced environment and adaptable to change.
Demonstrates ability in taking initiative to seek out opportunities and solve problems.
Distinguished written and verbal communication skills including strong presentation skills.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and correctly balance multiple projects while making appropriate progress against them all.

Proficient in key software:

Adobe Creative Suite (Creative Cloud)
Photoshop
Illustrator
InDesign
Procreate
Adobe Acrobat
Font Management Software
Microsoft Office Suite
Google Suite
Print Management experience; knowledge in digital and press printing.
Understanding of packaging die lines, packaging materials and construction.
Illustration and 3D designs skills preferred.
