Precipart, located in Farmingdale, NY, is seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Manager to serve as a key leader in creating, managing, and enforcing the effective functioning of a multi-building campus.

This pivotal role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities, including environmental, health and safety management, facility maintenance, and machine maintenance to ensure the efficient and safe operation of our manufacturing facility.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS):
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Coordinate and track employee training programs on safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions. Report all incidents to human resources to determine Workers' Compensation and effective OSHA reporting.
  • Manage the procurement and maintenance of safety equipment and personal protective gear.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures. Lead the company's Safety Committee. Liaise with HR regarding Active Shooter response training.
  • Maintain records and documentation related to environmental permits, safety inspections, training, and incident reports.
  • Lead environmental sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction, energy conservation, and pollution prevention.
  • Facilities Management:
  • Oversee the maintenance and operation of the facilities, including buildings, utilities, equipment, and grounds.
  • Develop and implement facility maintenance plans and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Coordinate repairs, renovations, and upgrades to ensure the integrity and functionality of facility infrastructure.
  • Manage facilityrelated contracts, vendors, and service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Develop and manage budgets for facility maintenance and capital improvement/equipment projects.
  • Identify opportunities to improve facility efficiency and sustainability through process optimization and technology upgrades.
  • Machine Maintenance:
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for production machinery and equipment.
  • Coordinate routine inspections and repairs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and procurement processes to support maintenance activities.
  • Ability to use TPM techniques.
  • Train maintenance staff on proper equipment maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
  • Any other jobrelated tasks/projects as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Personnel needs identification, hiring and termination recommendations, leadership, coaching/training, performance management, task assignment, policy dissemination, disciplinary action/documentation to personnel files, job description updates, etc.
  • Establish department goals, plan, and achieve department activities & objectives, analyze variancesinitiate corrective actions, problem resolution, propose/support/implement new & improved approaches/methods, etc.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, engineering, facilities management, Industrial Safety Management, or a related field
  • Ten (10) years of professional industry experience preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting; or a combination of education and experience
  • Indepth knowledge of environmental regulations, safety standards, building codes, and machine maintenance best practices
  • Extensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other government regulations
  • Experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
  • At least 1year supervisory experience that provided clear direction, goals, and delegation to team members
  • Motivate team members to keep them engaged and focused on their goals and tasks
  • Foster collaboration to enhance teamwork and productivity of team members
  • Promote accountability to ensure team members take responsibility for their actions and contributed to the overall success of the team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate, verbally and written, effectively with team members and internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem solving, conflict resolution, organization, and decisionmaking skills
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing tasks
