***: With general supervision, responsible for any combination of calculating, posting, and verifying of accounting data of moderate scope and complexity exercising some independent judgement while following well defined procedures in one or more of the following functions: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cost Accounting, Billing and Payroll/Labor.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities may include some or all the following:

Process documents such as progress billings, payroll, shippers, invoices, and accounts payable vouchers.
Maintain and record vendor invoices.
Type and file vouchers, invoices, statements, reports and maintain records.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and operating statements.
Maintain, check, and balance records for accuracy.
Preparation of journal vouchers and reports.
Post and balance ledgers.
Interface with functional departments, management, vendors, and customers.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Perform other related responsibilities.

Job Requirements:

Two years Accounting/Payroll experience or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities.
Industry experience a plus
Prior computer experience and data entry required.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Knowledge of basic accounting principles where applicable.
Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
