Career Consulting Partners has partnered with the biggest firm in Pasadena, CA with over 30 attorneys. This is a very collegial and collaborative team environment.

We seek an associate attorney with - 8 years of Trust & Estates litigation experience.

You will be responsible for the full oversight of all assigned client cases, including case research, client relationship management, diligent counsel, intra-firm coordination, and case outcomes.

This role is based in our El Segundo, California office and we are presently unable to offer a hybrid work schedule.

Reporting to the Senior Counsel and in conjunction with the Partner.

You must take a focused approach in delivering high-quality client service via effective case management and high-value legal counsel within your area of specialty and legal practice.

Responsibilities:


  • Ensure highquality counsel and legal advice to all assigned clients, prospects, 3rd party partners, and affiliates.
  • Perform legal research, and prepare legal memoranda to effectively advise clients on a range of topics and areas of focus within the scope of assigned areas of legal practice and responsibilities.
  • Maintain updated knowledge, and continued learning, within the areas of legal specialty, specific to assigned areas of legal practice and services (e.g., corporate law, business transactions, tax law, real estate, title/insurance, estate planning, trust administration, etc.).
  • Directly manage, supervise, and lead assigned administrative personnel (e.g., Legal Assistants, Paralegals, and Senior Paralegals), providing resources and direction as needed, in support of their performance.
  • Generate business by building, retaining, and growing trusted client relationships via ongoing communication,
maintaining a thorough understanding of client needs, interests, concerns, goals, options, etc.

  • Develop strategies and arguments to resolve cases favorably and costeffectively for all assigned clients.
  • Ensure thorough execution of drafting and reviewing documents as it pertains to assigned cases and projects.
  • Ensure preparation of legal documents, such as contracts, depositions, pleadings, etc. promptly and that all case/businessrelated materials (records, letters, legal documents, case files, correspondence, financial reports, invoices, etc.) are effectively managed for efficient and highvalue client service and case outcomes.
  • Maintain effective coordination with opposing counsel and other involved parties as needed.
  • Ethically conduct all matters by the law and in the interest of the client.
  • Demonstrate the firm's core values of "Integrity, Hard Work, Excellence, and Team" and participate in crossdepartmental and organizational planning and volunteer efforts as needed.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Trust & Estate litigation
  • Juris Doctorate and California Bar Accreditation required.
  • Experience in, and knowledge of, assigned areas of legal practice and responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to remain focused and professional in hightense situations (e.g., communicating with highly stressed clients throughout difficult cases).

Additional Info:


  • Base Salary Compensation: $150,000 $215,000
  • Billable's 1800
Quarterly Bonus: 10%, 15%, or 20% of annual salary dependent on combines
billable and non-billable hourly performance.

  • Collection &
Introduction Commissions: 5 % collections commissions as well
as 15% introductions commissions

  • Annual Year-End Discretionary Bonus
