Training content

The electricians (m/f/d) for industrial engineering work in the field of electrical energy system technology. Whether it's electrical energy supply, industrial operating systems, or modern building system and automation technology, they install electrical components and systems professionally, regularly maintain them, expand or modernize them, and repair them in case of a malfunction. In addition, they commission and maintain systems for energy distribution, control, telecommunications, and drive technology, as well as lighting technology, including programming with a PC.

Training organization

The practical and theoretical training takes place in the central training workshop in the technical departments of the Stadtwerke Rastatt. Vocational school classes are held in block time at the Josef-Durler-Schule in Rastatt. In the second, third, and fourth year of training, practical training is the focus. Exams:

  • Part 1 of the final exam: before the end of the second year of training (equivalent to 40% of the overall result)
  • Part 2 of the final exam: at the end of the training (equivalent to 60% of the overall result)
Requirements

Good secondary school diploma or intermediate school leaving certificate with good grades in mathematics and natural sciences
