Job Summary:
The Dental Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Dentist in providing quality dental care in a high volume dental practice environment
Job Responsibilities:
- Seats and prepares patients for treatment
- Maintains material, instruments and supplies needed for scheduled treatment procedure
- Dispenses supplies and materials and stocks each operatory regularly
- Takes digital radiographs, developing and places them in mounting position
- Dismisses patient to receptionist and returns to disinfect operatory
- Maintains an inventory of supplies
- Monitors laboratory cases by logging cases leaving and returning to the practice
- Monitors dentist schedule to ensure patients arrivals and/or updates to daily schedule
- General office maintenance, i.e., cleaning lab areas, keeping floor free from a debris
- Miscellaneous office duties as assigned by manager including, but not limited to: answering phones, calling patients and filing
- Pours stone and plaster models and assists dentist with laboratory work as needed
Job Qualifications:
- High School diploma required/college degree preferred
Pay:
$ $27.76 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
