This is a part time in person teaching position (evenings) for those applicants that reside in the state of Arizona.

Pay:
$21 to $25 per hour DOE

Position Summary of the Phlebotomy Instructor:
We believe in liberating the innate greatness in people.

The Phlebotomy Instructor is responsible for planning and creating lectures, in-class discussions, and assignments as well as assessing grades for students based on participation, performance in class, assignments, and examinations.

The Phlebotomy Instructor will also report student learning outcomes, class reviews, and analyze student data.


The mission of the Instructor in Skilled Trades is to provide the student(s), our customer(s), with the skills and knowledge necessary to obtain entry-level employment in the field of their chosen program of study.


Responsibilities of the Phlebotomy Instructor:


  • Provide an educational experience where each student has the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual and emotional growth.
  • Prepare and implement activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
  • Actively engage in individual, or small group, tutoring and remediation using synchronous and asynchronous tools.
  • Create and curate instructional content, including video, for students related to current trends and practices in the industry.
  • Integrate established, and emerging, teaching and learning strategies into the classroom and student interactions.
  • Conduct proactive and reactive student outreach regularly.
  • Provide individualized and timely feedback on student assessments within SOP guidelines.
  • Provide regular feedback to the Program Director on student progress or opportunities.
  • Participate in ongoing training, development, and program meetings.
  • Respond to student questions and needs on weekdays as well as weekends.
  • Other special projects, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements of the Phlebotomist Instructor:


  • 3+ years working as a phlebotomist.
  • Must possess an active nationally recognized phlebotomy certification.
  • 2 years' teaching experience is preferred.
  • Passion for education and the ability to thrive in an atmosphere of innovation and change.
  • Proven track record for being a dynamic communicator, coach, and facilitator with a focus on studentcentered, adaptive development.
  • Strong presentation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to participate in extensive paid training prior to the start of classes.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:


  • Ability to work in a classroom setting using software technology including but not limited to virtual meeting tools, such as Zoom, Instant Messaging, and Brightspace LMS.
  • The ability to efficiently operate a computer and its peripheral equipment (keyboard, mouse, etc.).
  • Ability to sit or stand for four to six hours.
