Position Summary:

Luck Family Office Department is seeking a Financial and Risk Services Manager to oversee financial and risk-related relationships, primarily with financial institutions and personal insurance groups.

This key role is responsible for leading a team dedicated to delivering exceptional financial accounting, reporting, and risk management services to our clients.


Key Responsibilities:


Leadership and Team Development:

  • Lead and inspire the financial and risk services team to achieve greater performance.
  • Create and implement tax plans in collaboration with various company teams.
  • Foster a holistic team environment with technical and client crosstraining, internal and external learning opportunities, and Values-Based Leadership.
  • Encourage innovative thinking to improve team norms and operational efficiency.
  • Sponsor appropriate assignments to help team members realize their potential and support their longterm aspirations.
  • Foster an environment where people and technology thrive together.

Financial Accounting and Reporting (25%):

  • Implement, direct, and oversee financial accounting, reporting, and compliance programs for family entities.
  • Conduct periodic internal reviews to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Develop creative financial reports and educational materials for family members and stakeholders.

Insurance Management (35%):

  • Oversee and manage family property, casualty, medical, and employment insurances.
  • Partner with insurance groups to handle placements, renewals, and claims.
  • Educate family members on risk elements, preventative actions, and their roles in incident management.
  • Develop and distribute family insurance summaries and reports.

Banking, Cash Management, and Investments (20%):

  • Enhance systems for managing cash transactions, reinvestments, and deployment.
  • Review, authorize, and approve all cash wires, payments, and transfers.
  • Support the Family Investment Committee in managing family financial assets.

Contract Oversight and Management (10%):

  • Review, negotiate, and manage business contracts and intellectual property.
  • Ensure accuracy and clarity in contract terms and provisions.
  • Support family members and stakeholders in contract negotiations.
  • Monitor contract renewals, extensions, and communications.

Risk Management and Cyber Security (10%):

  • Identify risks affecting the family's financial health, legal compliance, and reputation.
  • Partner with IT and financial banking groups to safeguard systems and protect assets.
  • Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats and mitigation techniques.
  • Develop and implement best practices to reduce the risk of data and asset theft.

Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience in financial and risk management
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting, reporting, and compliance
  • Experience with insurance management, banking, cash management, and investments
  • Ability to review and negotiate contracts effectively
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business
  • CPA preferred
  • Proficient computer skills including Windows based software (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated leadership in previous roles, advancement, and leading with a vision
