PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Research Explanation of Benefits (EOB's) to resolve Account Receivables issues.

  • Processes appeals online or via paper submission
  • Coordinate and clarify with providers, when necessary, information that seems incomplete or is lacing for proper account/claim adjudication.
  • Coordinate with Front Desk staff the collections of current or past due patient balances, copays, deductibles, etc.
  • Routinely work insurance and patient collections.
  • Manage account balances to discover outstanding debts or other inconsistencies.
  • Assists clinics with prior authorizations per the appointment scheduler, when needed.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.
  • Enter payments and bills into Sage accounting software.
  • Have experience in MS Office with intermediate Excel skills.
  • Serve as backup for the front desk staff when necessary.

Qualifications

High school or equivalent

  • Medical Billing and Coding: 1 year (preferred)

Pay:
From $18.00 per hour
