Area Sales Representative, Austin - Minor Figures

SALARY BANDING:
$65k - $70k + bonus
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As our Area Sales Representative, Austin, you'll be the human that will maintain and grow existing accounts and prospect and close new accounts across Texas.
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
As Area Sales Representative, Austin, we have duties below, but don't feel you're limited to them
Let's run through them:
- Serve as THE face of the Minor Figures brand across Austin,TX.
- Meet all revenue and strategic business initiatives in your assigned area.
- Drive and manage sales and distribution throughout the area.
- Prospect and engage potential new partners for MF via a relationship led approach along with keen understanding of the cafe and foodservice channels.
- Conduct regular visits and develop strong relationships with existing operators and accounts to retain and grow the business.
- Develop and nurture partnerships with local distributors
- Identify prospective customers, and track opportunities within our CRM for your respective pipeline.
- In conjunction with sales leadership and Sales Development Coordinator, lead efforts to properly forecast your respective business for both existing and new accounts.
- In collaboration with Minor Figures sales leadership team, onboard, train and grow sales with new distributors
- Support sales and opportunities with marquee or strategic accounts as needed by regional sales managers/directors within your assigned area.
- Educate, sample and support distributor representatives and teams, cafe partners, and operators alike.
- Multi task between several priorities, mapping out smart weekly routes to maximize daily field efforts.
- Utilize Minor Figures tools to build accurate area pipeline and forecasts
- Participate in regular internal team calls, sharing best practices, feedback on competitors, and market intel
- Collaborate with leadership on individual or career development quarterly goals that are challenging yet attainable.
- Maintain a high level of expertise on the broader coffee, hospitality and foodservice industry trends and happenings.
- Represent Minor Figures in a professional and authentic manner
- Frequently move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds for various needs.
ABOUT YOUR TEAM:
You'll be reporting to the Regional Sales Manager West. Our sales team is broken up into 2 channels; On Premise (cafe and foodservice) and Off Premise (retail grocery). We are all coffee people and are very immersed in the coffee community nationwide but we are equally as passionate about all of our customers and segments of business
Although the entire team is remote we are a very close knit bunch.
We might be a small team but we truly believe in our product and know how to speak the language of coffee.
We like to build lasting relationships within our team as well as with our customers.ABOUT YOU:

For this role, you'll need to be based in Austin TX, where you'll be spending the majority of your time in this role.
- Relevant sales & business development experience within the Cafe channel
- Deep knowledge of the area/geography in Austin.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and deep understanding of earlystage business
- Strong experience in developing, owning and driving marketlevel KPIs at various levels of an end client.
- Highly organized around project // time management
- Must be adept and comfortable in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point)
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Able to be in the field 5days per week
- Able to travel overnight, up to 25%, for trade shows, company meetings, or sales related activity etc.
- Reliable means to get to and from client locations
- Willing and able to move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds for various needs
