Diamond Mills Hotel & Resort is excited to announce the opening of its new Waterside Spa overlooking a Hudson River inlet with views of the Saugerties Lighthouse.

The Waterside Spa features 10 treatment rooms in a rustic and luxurious setting, and serves hotel guests as well as local wellness enthusiasts.

The Waterside Spa positions Diamond Mills as the ultimate resort destination in the Hudson Valley, featuring a boutique hotel plus quaint cottages throughout the village, a fine-dining restaurant in BLACKBARN Hudson Valley, sister to BLACKBARN Nomad in New York City, and a beautiful banquet hall for weddings and events up to 400 guests.

The Waterside Spa opened in January, and is poised to become the preeminent health and wellness property in the region.


Waterside Spa is seeking a dynamic, personable Spa Manager/Director who can lead a team of massage therapists and estheticians, oversee day-to-day operations, and work with the Hotel and Event teams at Diamond Mills to market the spa to hotel guests as well as build awareness and capture a client base for this unique property.


The Spa Manager will be a mentor and inspiration to current and furture staff by maintaining high performance standards, leading by example, providing superior customer service as well as setting and reaching sales goals for the team.


Responsibilities and Duties
Major responsibilities include (but will not be limited to):

  • Immediate Supervisor to Lead Massage Therapist(s) and Lead Esthetician(s)
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service to Members/ Guests
  • Oversee and Manage the Daily Operations of the Spa
  • Oversee All Customer Service Challenges
  • Motivate Massage Therapist and Esthetician Sales & Growth
  • Focus Heavily on Analyzing and Maximizing the Appointment Book
  • Oversee All Client Surveys and Ensure Feedback is Given to All Employees


  • Ordering

  • Service Supplies & Equipment


  • Inventory

  • Routine Counts and Inventory Organization
  • Handle Service Provider Paycheck Disputes, Scheduling Conflicts, Call Outs, Documents, etc.
  • Recruiting, Hiring, Training, Scheduling, Performance Reviews, Documentation, & Meetings of All Massage Therapists & Estheticians
  • Complete Any Additional Administrative Tasks

Qualifications and Skills

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Goaloriented
  • Sales experience with proven results; membership sales is a plus
  • Experience working in spa industry as a Spa Manager, Licensed Massage Therapist or Licensed Esthetician preferred.
  • Capability to work flexible hours, specifically nights, weekends (Sundays or Saturdays) and holidays
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A fast learner, with a positive attitude; remain calm in fast pace environment
  • Computer proficiency; knowledge of retail/appointment booking computer systems is a plus. Current software is Book4Time.
  • A strong team player with the ability to work independently under mínimal supervision
  • Exceptional with organizing and prioritizing; attention to detail and multitasking
  • Critical thinking skills, including customer conflict resolution

From $85,000.00 per year
