Position & Responsibilities


Additional tasks include informing management about equipment that needs to be replaced and notifying management of supplies that require ordering.

Keeping good records of expenses made on repairs or purchase of any supplies or equipment needed by submitting all receipts regularly to owners.


Employee is expected to report to a manager who is responsible to carry out inspection on facilities in the organization on a regular basis to avoid casualties that may arise from sudden malfunctioning of facilities.


To ensure good hygiene in the facilities and around the properties, the Maintenance team diligently sees to it that trash, garbage waste and recycling are constantly taken out and recycled while performing tasks.

Available and to respond promptly to emergencies that may arise from properties, equipment and/or appliances malfunctioning.


Landscape Duties:

Installs, maintains, feeds, prunes, trims, and waters a variety of plants, trees, and shrubs.

Manually removes, installs, and maintains plant material in beds and containers.

Relocates specimen trees and shrubs when needed.

Cleans water features/ terraces/ or other elements on property regularly.

Keeps garden paths and green spaces clear of debris.

Maintains the sprinkler and irrigation systems, including identifying and resolving leaks.

Works safely with a variety of power equipment, such as ride on mowers, edgers, trimmers and blowers.


Assists with pest control on the grounds and the buildings with the use of different techniques for the health and safety of occupants.

Assists with outdoor furniture - covers, umbrellas and moving of furniture as needed.


Interacts with and communicates with various groups and individuals, such as the homeowners, Estate Manager, co-workers, contractors, and occasional guests.

Other duties as assigned.


Maintenance Duties:


General maintenance, orderliness, and cleanliness to ensure that facilities and equipment are in good shape at all times for utilization (such as lights, generators, power tools, and other equipment required for proper management of the properties).


Guarantee the safety of individuals by fixing and repairing a variety of things both indoor and outdoor that may cause harm to others when used in bad condition.

Generalized maintenance and repair of all company properties.


As needed, assist in the coordination of or on hands help of repair including: install sheetrock, tile, plumbing, flooring, framing, masonry, landscape maintenance, landscape watering systems, appliances, etc.

Help Manager with general problems and provide Manager advise for homeowners/ Estate Manager of all issues.

Repair and replace general hardware.

Power wash, removal of roof/gutter debris on buildings

Remove stains and paint both interior and exterior buildings when necessary.

Other duties as assigned.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 years of gardening experience, no less.
  • 2 years of general construction labor experience, no less.
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to perform work on a ladder.
  • Must be able to safely operate power machinery.
  • Security consciousness.
  • Being highly observant.
  • Ability to solve problems.
  • Have good human relations.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Good time management.
  • Good knowledge of water management
  • Good knowledge of landscape design
  • Good knowledge of plant species & management
  • Basic knowledge of electrical works.
  • Good knowledge of carpentry.
  • Good knowledge of plumbing

Working Conditions:


Benefits:

Employee must work a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Employees eligible for "Paid Time Off" and well as health insurance and other benefits after six months as outlined in the employee offer letter.

Employee paid mileage for commute needs. Spot bonuses considered. Opportunities for continued education in support of work duty requirements.


Schedule:

8 hour shift, with possible overtime as planned and approved.

Day shift (emergency night calls are seldom required)

Monday to Friday, some weekends necessary as planned and approved.


Ability to Commute:

Must have reliable transportation to be able to respond to emergencies when owners are not in residence.

Willing to commute to Eureka (North) or as far as Ukiah (South) to support special projects on an as needed basis.

Willing to commute to other properties in Laytonville or Willits as needed once or twice per month.


Payscale:

Starting hourly wage $18-$25 depending on detailed experience and references. Salary review with annual evaluation & spot bonuses considered.


License/Certification:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Legal authorization to work in the US.
