From airport affairs and business services to planning and development, this team is responsible for all our leases and major construction and renovation projects, system wide.


Corporate Real Estate:

The Corporate Real Estate team is composed of Planning and Development and Airport Affairs.

These two teams work together to secure lease spaces and lead all major construction and renovation projects at our hubs, stations, and city locations across the world.


Job overview and responsibilities:


This role will support the United Next program, the enterprise-wide effort to prepare for outstanding growth over the next 5 years.

This role will report to the Managing Director

  • CRE, Planning & Strategy and will be responsible for ensuring the longterm strategic execution of the United Next facility growth plan is aligned with Network Planning growth timeframes.
  • Advise the further development of the United Next strategy including delivering key achievements in the strategic plan.
  • Leads a team in researching, evaluating, and recommending analytic solutions and tools for Corporate Real Estate in support United Next longterm strategic plan including optimization modeling, monitoring of hiring, training, recurrent training, facility needs, etc.
  • Lead and drive business case development and analytical support with respect to completing our longterm vision.
  • Work crossfunctionally with peers to ensure smooth transitions where there are interdependencies and work with business partners to quantify and develop supporting documentation for business case justification and project prioritization.
  • Lead a team which will provide analytical support for all Corporate Real Estate business teams identifying key trends, facility requirements, network growth impacts to facilities, and support for simulation efforts as it pertains to long term facility development and/or expansion to support United Next growth plans.
  • Presents regular updates to key divisional and crossdepartmental executives regarding progress on key initiatives.

Qualifications:


What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree; Business, Operations, Finance, Economics, Aviation Management and Planning, Engineering, Architecture.
  • 10+ years of confirmed experience.
  • Strong visionary leadership, planning and communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, organizational management, defining accountability structure, identifying improvement opportunities, influencing, and managing change.
  • Solid history of managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and driving results.
  • Proven history of handling sophisticated projects with multiple collaborators and getting results.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Master's degree; Industrial Engineering, Operations Research.
  • 5+ years' leadership experience.
  • 3+ years' experience leading / collaborating on large scale growth initiatives.
  • 5+ years' experience in data analytics or process improvement.
