- Primary contributor of the design, development, and maintenance of software applications and systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements
- Intermediate writing of clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- Support troubleshooting and debugging software issues
- Support code reviews to ensure code quality
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development

- Intermediate/developing professional expertise of the designing, developing, and maintaining of complex software systems
- Complete work within guidelines set by your teammates to address moderate, well-scoped issues

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
- 2-4 years of experience in software engineering
- Experience building services and modular code in Typescript
- Experience with Figma, styling processors, and designing modular styled components
- Experience with Continuous Integration concepts and tools
- Experience delivering highly available and reliable systems
- Experience mentoring other developers
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Best practices utilizing RESTful API calls or Graphql

About the opportunity
As a Development Engineer, you will be responsible for being a primary contributor to the design, development, and maintenance of our software products. You will work closely with your peers to understand customer requirements and translate them into functional software solutions. In this role, you will be expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
This is a remote role and is open to applicants residing in Canada or the US.

The base salary range for this position is $110,200 - $122,400 USD for US residents OR $95,900 - $106,600 CAD for Canadian residents. Other countries will differ. Range may vary on a number of factors including, but not limited to: location, experience and qualifications.
