- Strategically plan and implement sales goals for the direct sales area
- Make recommendations to the Segment Manager regarding annual sales goals
- Provide technical guidance to customers regarding the precise application of INFICON products
- Prepare quotes and correspondence and negotiate sales contracts
- Submit forecasts, monthly reports, Key Account Plans, and any other requested information
- Provide Business Units with feedback on competitive products, market trends, and application needs
- Assist with product line recommendations, pricing adjustments, and sales policy changes
- Support the development of territory sales and marketing plans
- Offer marketing assistance to the Business Line
- Support marketing activities including trade shows, strategic industry committees, and marketing campaigns
- 4 years technical degree (Engineering, Chemistry, Physics)
- 5 years of account management experience selling to Semiconductor Fabs
- Comprehensive knowledge of the semiconductor industry
- A thorough understanding of semiconductor processes
- A track record of establishing new customer connections
- A history of cultivating existing relationships to ensure prospective sales
- Skilled in conveying strategic plans with a deep understanding of key account stakeholders
- Strong presentation skills and a solid grasp of our products and their potential applications
- Ability to identify areas of concern in customer fabs where our product portfolio can offer effective resolutions
- Versed in software tools, encompassing CRM and MS Office applications
- Effective negotiation skills
- Solid grasp of product installation history
- Proficient in project tracking to proactively tackle potential challenges
- Must have the ability to work independently, travel to customer sites (10-20% of the time), and possess strong customer engagement skills
- Experience in government bidding and contract writing, as well as familiarity with NIST and government proposal writing

These analysis, measurement and control products are essential for gas leak detection in air conditioning/refrigeration and automotive manufacturing. They are vital to equipment manufacturers and end-users in the complex fabrication of semiconductors and thin film coatings for optics, flat panel displays, solar cells and industrial vacuum coating applications. Other users of our vacuum-based processes include the life sciences, research, aerospace, packaging, heat treatment, laser cutting and many other industrial processes. We also leverage our expertise in vacuum technology to provide unique, toxic chemical analysis products for emergency response, security, and environmental health and safety.
Job DescriptionOverview
As the Key Account Manager, Semiconductor End User you will enjoy fueling sales growth and market expansion for INFICON within the Northeast region's semiconductor fabrication facilities.
In this role, you will be accountable for identifying growth opportunities and promoting INFICON's product base in the areas of Sensor Solutions, Industrial Engineering and Process Control software, Vacuum Control products, and Leak Detectors. You will also be focused on building strong customer relationships, and strategically aligning sales efforts with the company's goals.
Though open to remote candidates, the position is primarily to be based at our US headquarters in East Syracuse, NY and relocation assistance to the East Syracuse, NY is available for non-local candidates.

For New York, the expected salary range for this position is between $75,000 and $130,000 per year with commission opportunities. In addition, INFICON employees are eligible for a profit sharing bonus with a target of 10%. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.
