Family Health Centers at NYU Langone, a designated Level 3 Medical Home, is the largest federally qualified health center network in New York State, and the second largest in the nation.

It includes eight primary care sites, 40 school-based health centers and dental clinics, four day care centers, the nation's largest dental residency program, and New York State's largest behavioral health program.

Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Administrative Associate/*Women's Health* - Brooklyn.


Responsibilities:


  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Supports implementation of reengineering systems (new technologies) policies and procedures and staff development activities to ensure the efficiency of health center operations.
  • Liaison with Information Technology Department and Health Information Management Team to implement computer software to facilitate workflow patient documentation and data compiling for UDS reports. Identify and correct any hardware and software issues.
  • Manage relationship and oversee contract fulfillment with outside cleaning and security vendors.
  • Coordinates with the PSC to ensure that all procedures are consistent with LMC and LFHC standards (e.g. safety infection control and standards). Collaborate with Bio-Med department to ensure maintenance of clinic equipment
  • Supports Program Director in orientation and training of newly hired staff in the use of clinical computer systems. Support planning and execution of internal and external trainings.
  • Attend general and staff meetings as required and participate on committees as directed. Plan and coordinate high tech presentations integrating latest computer technology and multimedia equipment.
  • Prepare for grant audits for city DOH rapid testing grant. Ensure that accurate information is obtained and presented to internal and external stakeholders for reporting purposes.
  • Oversee Kronos entries and review CM staff timecards including Mt. Sinai nurses payroll. Generate reports for monitoring purposes.
  • Manage travel reimbursements and department invoices.
  • Periodically serve as the departmental representative at community events.
  • Engage in special projects as needed in cooperation with other members of the management team.
  • Maintain historical files and multimedia on Community Medicine Program.

Minimum Qualifications:

To qualify you must have a High School Diploma Required, Associates Degree preferred. Healthcare Management experience can be substituted in lieu of Associates Degree.

Three or more years of progressive experience in ambulatory care hospital managed care or related health administration or health policy.

Strong analytical skills. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Independent judgment and decision-making ability. Good computer skills excellent oral/written communication skills;


Preferred Qualifications:


Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels of the organization; highly organized and some experience in managing senior level executive's schedules and take meeting minutes.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements.

The salary range for the role is $50, $62,400.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.

The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
