- Develop and implement user interfaces that support Shop Floor activities.
- BA/BS in computer science, engineering, or related technical disciplines/work experience.
- A minimum of 5 years' network engineering experience
- Experience in collaborating across technology silos such as servers, storage, backup, networking, active directory, and security
- Demonstrated hands on experience with troubleshooting Windows and Linux server platforms and understand Client-side Security Technologies such as Antivirus, VPN and Firewall
- DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Wireless
- Knowledge about scripts, and or services for the platform environment, such as PowerShell Perl or similar Basic understanding of backup solutions such as NetBackup, Veritas, Networker, BackupExec
- Microsoft Windows server, VMware, AD, Linux, Citrix, ThinManager, mobile devices like barcode scanners, tablets, laptops, HMI, smartphones.
- Experience with pharmaceutical production networks.

The Network Engineer will take part in design and implementation of servers and systems of Biogen's (24x7) manufacturing control network (MCN) infrastructure for our RTP location. The candidate will serve as primary on-site support and subject matter expert for client devices residing in Biogen's manufacturing systems environment. Applicants shall have a strong general understanding of infrastructure technologies and a passion for solving complex problems and providing an excellent end-user experience.

The Network Engineer will support the client-side systems used in labs, warehouse and production areas in Biogen's manufacturing operation and will be the primary responsible for:
As the RTP site is a 24x7 operation it may be required to provide on-site support outside normal working hours or be on-call.
