Newly developing multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center in Camp Hill, PA, is seeking experienced Surgery Scheduler.

The Surgery Scheduler will coordinate and provide patient care to adult and teenage patients, in accordance to established and accepted standards of care, policies and procedures, state and federal regulations, and accepted accreditation standards.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Admission of patients.
  • Verifies the accuracy and completeness of patient clinical, demographic and insurance information upon admission of the patient. Enters corrected patient information into the medical software system at the time of admission.
  • Coordinates with Director of Nursing for needed equipment, additional staff, same day or next day add ons to the surgical schedule
  • Prepares daily schedule for all staff to review and prepare for the day.
  • Communicates patient and/or surgeon delays to the Pre-Operative Area Nurse, and/or Nursing Supervisor
  • Keeps track of cancellation cases.
  • Informs the Nursing Supervisor of any cancelled and/or altered procedures.
  • Maintains an orderly and secure system for storing patient charts
  • Helps coordinate and manage block time
  • Crossed trained to help cover front desk and/or admitting clerk

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High School Graduate required.


WORK SCHEDULE
We offer Monday - Friday all day shift with no weekends, holidays, or on call.
