Description
We are looking for an experience Accounts Payable person to provide financial, administrative and clerical services.Accounts payable duties include ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring incoming / outgoing payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts.
The position is located in Freeport NY.Responsibilities / Duties
- Post business transactions, process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records
- Clarify any questionable invoice items, prices or receiving signatures
- Assemble and review invoices to be completed for payment / issue checks
- Maintain copies of vouchers, invoices or correspondence necessary for files
- Obtain proper information and/or data regarding invoice payments
- Check vendor files for any previous payments and assign voucher numbers
- Prepare vouchers listing invoice number, date, vendor address, item description, amounts and coding per accounting policies and procedures
- Reconcile bank statements
- Input daily bookkeeping and record keeping
- Verify invoices against purchase orders and ensure goods or services were received before issuing payment to vendors
Skills
- Several years of experience in a similar position
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Handson experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Pay:
$ $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 per week
