Military Education Program Staff Lead


Key Role:

Develop successful programs with partnered countries that meet mission goals. Improve the effectiveness of professional military education institutions in Africa. Develop efficient processes that integrate Military Education Program (MEP) requirements with business practices.

Review MEP support requirements as a result of changes in regulatory travel guidance, increasing travel, budget requirements, or personnel changes.

Provide updates to MEP program management outlining office operations, program status, resource availability, recent travel activities, and new projected travel requirements.

Serve as the Point of Contract for Defense Travel System (DTS) to resolve day-to-day issues.

Oversee the entire program and provide guidance to all points of contact on travel funds usage and troubleshooting of problems.

Provide financial status reports and program updates to MEP stakeholders. Work with MEP and budget office counterparts to obtain, monitor, and track program funds. Identify resources, methods of project accomplishment, and deadlines to assure completion of MEP training activities and operations.


Basic Qualifications:


  • 3+ years of experience living and working on the African continent, including in militarytomilitary partnerships, conflict management, or on issues related to African security sector governance
  • Experience as an instructor, faculty member, or administrator at a Professional Military Education institution
  • Ability to travel overseas up to 25% of the time
  • Secret clearance
  • Master's degree in Security Studies, International Relations, or African Studies

Additional Qualifications:


  • Ability to read, write, and speak in the French, Portuguese, or African language
  • Possession of excellent written and oral communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $110,100.00 to $250, annualized USD).

The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
