St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School is seeking potential candidates for a dedicated full-time school counselor for the school year. St. Mary Magdalen has a dynamic and diverse student body of more than 350 students.

We are committed to providing exceptional academic education, while placing great emphasis on faith formation and educating the whole person.

Position Description:
The ideal candidate will hold a Washington State ESA certification as a school counselor.

In addition, she/he will have experience working with elementary age students and parents in a school setting and demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential information with parents, teachers, and administrators.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide students with individualized and/or group counseling brief sessions. Develop developmentally appropriate weekly lessons to all grade levels. Knowledge and skilled in use and strategies necessary to meet diverse needs of students. Knowledge and ability to use multiple assessment techniques. Skills and ability to utilize technology to aid instruction, assessment, and learning. Commitment to collaboration and effectiveness in working within a professional learning community.

Knowledge of child development and ability to apply that knowledge to selection and application of curriculum materials and instructional practices.

Case manages students on support plans. Assessment Coordinator (MAP and WIDA) Manage reports necessary at trimester end.

Salary:
Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications
