Description

At the earliest possible date, we are looking for you as an electrician / mechatronics technician as a vehicle troubleshooter (m/f/d) for DB Fernverkehr AG at the Dortmund location.

Your tasks:
Your area of responsibility is troubleshooting long-distance trains outside the workshop hall
Your tasks include independently ensuring the functionality of electrical and mechanical equipment on passenger cars and ICEs, such as air conditioning and ventilation systems, door systems, toilet facilities, kitchen appliances, and vehicle information systems
This also includes evaluating mobility-critical damage to vehicles that have been taken out of service during a train journey
If a damage cannot be immediately repaired, you will assess and record it to facilitate planning for later repair
Through extensive training and regular further education, we will prepare you optimally for your tasks in vehicle troubleshooting

Your profile:
You have successfully completed a technical vocational training as an electrician or mechatronics technician
You have extensive knowledge of mechanics and ideally also have basic knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, or electrical engineering
You enjoy working independently and can act responsibly and solution-oriented under time pressure
You are willing to acquire the necessary qualifications and participate in shift work
You will work outside the workshop halls and in a rotating shift system (early, late, and night shifts).
