Duties:


  • You will analyze network utilization reports to identify, define, or correct problem areas.
  • You will diagnose an information system to maintain reliability of services to support customers.
  • You will discuss information assurance (IA) activities with managers to maintain a consistent approach to the IA program.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • The employee must comply with the DOD Manual Cyberspace Workforce Qualification and Management Program). Selectee will have nine months to become certified at appropriate levels.
  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position and aligns with SECNAV M for specialty area 441 (Network Operations Specialist) at the intermediate level. Updates may occur to align with the DOD Manual
  • Per DoDM , an annual 20 hour minimum of Cyber Workforce related continuous professional development must be documented and completed in a current individual development plan signed by both the employee and supervisor.

Qualifications:

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

Education:

In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.
D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management
