Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Overnight Caregiver to join our team at a residential care home specializing in dementia care.

The facility accommodates six residents, each requiring varying levels of assistance. This role is crucial for providing nighttime care and ensuring the cleanliness and orderliness of the home. This role requires you to be awake for your full shift.


Responsibilities:


Resident Care:

• Assist residents with nighttime needs, including trips to the restroom.
• Provide companionship for residents who have difficulty sleeping.
• Reposition residents in bed to ensure comfort and prevent bedsores.
• Perform incontinence care, including changing residents' diapers/depends using the rolling technique while they are in bed.

Housekeeping Duties:

• Wipe down kitchen and bathroom counters.
• Dust furniture and surfaces.
• Sweep floors and ensure common areas are clean.
• Handle laundry duties, including washing, drying, and folding.
• Restock essential items such as gloves, toilet paper, soap, and other supplies.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with dementia patients is preferred.
• Ability to perform incontinence care and use the rolling technique for changing bedbound residents.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, compassionate, and patient demeanor.
• Ability to work independently and handle responsibilities efficiently during night shifts.
