**The Opportunity**

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a mechanical design engineer and project engineer for hydropower projects. You will provide strategic advice and technical design and engineering consultation for new and upgrade hydropower projects for energy owners, including:

+ Hydro Turbine Upgrades

+ Pumped Energy Storage

+ Dam and Pipeline Projects, Including Radial Gates and Large Valves

+ Generator Cooling Systems

+ Raw Water Systems, Including Pumping Equipment

+ Turbine and Generator Bearings

+ Control Air Systems

+ Bearing Oil Systems

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience, including 4 years in hydropower or related field.

+ Previous experience with engineering projects in a utility power plant setting.

+ Experience in design and operation support of conventional andhydroelectric generation stations.

+ Prior work with Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS) software

+ Previous experience in a client facing role.

**Minimum Qualifications**

Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 3 years related work experience All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

**Certifications**

Professional Engineering (PE) License or in pursuit of such registration.

**Work Environment/Schedule**
