    Title: Network Installation Technician (Tier II)
    Clearance: Top Secret (SCI Eligible)
    Location: Washington, D.C. (Onsite)
    Salary: Up to $80,000

    About this role:

    • Rackner is seeking a Network Installation Technician (Tier II) to conduct installation, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure components to support organizational IT systems.
    • This role involves deploying network equipment, cabling, and connectivity solutions in accordance with established standards and procedures.

    We are seeking professionals with:

    • 3+ years; Conducting network installation
    • Administer network infrastructure components and configurations.
    • Implement cabling standards and practices.

    Nice to have:

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
    • CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent
    What will make you successful:
    • Install, configure, and test network hardware and software components, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
    • Deploy structured cabling solutions to support network connectivity, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
    • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure network equipment and accessories.
    • Ensure compliance with network security policies and procedures during installations.
    • Collaborate with network engineers and other IT teams to plan and schedule network installation projects.
    • Provide technical support and assistance during network installation projects, troubleshooting issues as needed.
    • Document network configurations, diagrams, and installation procedures for reference and knowledge sharing.
    • Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine network installation requirements.
    • Participate in IT project planning, coordination, and implementation as needed.
