    Primary Focus As an Information Technology Business Analyst within the Department of State (DoS), Bureau of Diplomatic Security, you will meet with clients, end users and stakeholders to collect Networking-related project requirements. These requirements will be documented and submitted for approval. This position will coordinate with the project manager and government clients to take meeting notes and document action items. All requirements will be entered into electronic tracking systems. This role demands a BA with a strong background in IT and Networking. The BA's focus will be on scope, and budget, while maintaining high standards of quality and security. Your expertise will document the strategic planning, execution, and oversight of complex IT initiatives, making you a cornerstone of our technological advancement. This Position will work on business and change management efforts as part of a larger team.

    Responsibilities may include:

    • Identifying and eliminating duplication, streamlining, centralizing, and business improvement processes
    • Using quantitative analysis to perform data, cost and benefit analysis
    • Researching industry trends for process improvement techniques
    • Facilitating progress meetings and updates to various departments
    • Partnering with business process owners and management on strategic initiatives
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Technology, or a related field
    • At least 2 years of experience in IT business analysis, including Networking-related projects
    • Expertise in documenting requirements and working under Agile processes and tools
    • Exceptional analytical and communication skills
    • Current Secret security clearance
    • Problem-solving skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets
    • Self-motivated, with the ability to handle multiple tasks
    • Ability to forge new relationships, individual and teaming in nature
    • Self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team

    Minimum Skills:
    • Must possess problem-solving skills
    • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
    • Ability to respond effectively to customers with a sense of professionalism
    • Highly motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace
    • May require flexible work hours and travel

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent
    • Prior experience on networking projects within federal agencies
    • Familiarity with specific IT systems and security measures
    • Outstanding problem-solving and decision-making skills
    • Experience in computer science/technology or related field

    Reports to: Program Manager

    Working Conditions Professional office environment
    • Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties for extended periods
    • Must be able to use office tools effectively
    • May require flexible work hours and travel
