We are searching for a talented Patient Access Intake Representative

$1,500 New Hire Sign-On Bonus (Rehires Termed More than 1 year also eligible)

Hours: 40hrs**
Shift: Evening/Night Shift 3p-1130p/11:15p-7:15a Every Other weekend and holiday rotation.**
Location: St. Luke's Hospital, New Bedford, MA

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 20 hours.

Responsibilities:


Under the general supervision of the Team Leader, Patient Access, performs a wide variety of duties to facilitate patient access throughout the organization.

Insure patient compliance with applicable hospital policy and obtains accurate patient information to insure patient safety and optimal reimbursement to the organization in accordance with various external regulations.

Determine and actively collect patient liabilities.


Qualifications:

  • Equal to completion of four years of high school plus additional courses or training required; Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Medical Terminology Certificate preferred.
  • Demonstrated very good communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills including medical based programs.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and other software programs preferred.
  • Over three years related health care experience including working with third party payers preferred.
  • CHAM (Certified Healthcare Access Manage) or CHAA (Certified Healthcare Access Associate) preferred.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Pay Range:
USD $ USD $27.50 /Hr.
