- Practice within the guidelines of their state licensing board, American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and MTF privileges
- Shall comply with appropriate Army OTSG/MEDCOM, DHA, and/or Combatant Command Force Heath Protection policies for deployment assessments
- Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing information from clinical interviews, and collateral sources, as appropriate
- Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders
- Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups; help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries
- Assist in rehabilitation of patient
- A minimum of four (4) years within the past five (5) years in the practice of clinical social work post licensure, preferably in a government setting such as a DoD or Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) providing clinical services to individuals, couples or groups in psychotherapy services
- Experience in behavioral interventions, critical incident event management, public speaking, and case management.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) : possess and maintain current course completion documentation for BLS through an American Heart Association and/or Red Cross approved training program.
- Ability to practice at the independent level without requiring state mandated clinical supervision and demonstrate a working knowledge of professional standard and ethics requiring delivery of social work services.
- Ability to effectively communicate with individuals and groups of diverse backgrounds, including enlisted personnel, officers, senior military and civilian leadership, spouses and other family members.
- Well versed in crisis debriefing, traumatic event counseling, individual and family counseling, case management, and training.
- Ability to develop, prepare, and present formal briefings and speeches to INSCOM leadership (at all echelons).
- Understanding of the military lifestyle and culture is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships internally and externally and work as part of a team with maturity, professionalism, positive attitude, tact and good judgment.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office programs, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
