SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for an experienced Maintenance Technician for a large, established client located in Grayslake, IL.

The Maintenance Technician will ensure that equipment and machinery are working at optimal efficiency to produce and manufacture products safely and on time.

Available shifts include 1st shift 6:30am-3pm.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician:

Reading mechanical, pneumatic/hydraulic and electrical prints.
Use of micrometers and calipers for accurate measurements.
Operation of vertical mills and lathes.
Fundamentals of AC and DC electrical circuits.
Electrical panel building.

Ability to identify the manufacturer and model number of a specific component and be resourceful enough to obtain necessary documentation.

Understanding of pneumatic systems in automated equipment (how does a solenoid valve control a cylinder and how does the PLC control the solenoid valve).

Experience with automated assembly equipment should include working with PLC's, servo motion, vision systems, and pneumatic, electric and hydraulic actuators.

Knowledge of building electrical, single and 3-phase.

Preferred Qualifications of the Maintenance Technician:2-10 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or production.
2-10 years of electrical and mechanical knowledge with building and machinery.
Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours.
Proven track record of effective problem-solving.
Strong communication skills.
