They use cutting-edge technologies and operate at speeds that push other pieces of the grid to go faster.As an Application Engineer, you'll provide solutions and services that help our customers protect and control critical electrical infrastructure and power systems worldwide.
As an Application Engineer - Protection a typical day might include the following:Maintain and improve knowledge of power systems, protection, and all related SEL products.
Help customers apply SEL products through visits, demonstrations, training courses and telephone contact.
Applies principles, theories, standard techniques, and concepts to provide solutions to a variety of problems.
Participates in SEL marketing and sales activities, industry technical meetings, and conferences.
Publishes application guides, notes, template guides, software tools, and/or technical conference papers.
This job might be for you if:
You possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent engineering degree)
Typically 2+ years of experience in power systems, industry practices, and protection
Ability to write and speak English coherently
Listens carefully; provides positive, helpful and professional communication to internal and external customers in a clear and concise manner. Demonstrates composure and professionalism under difficult circumstances.
Takes on the challenge of unfamiliar tasks. Experiments to find new solutions.
Creates a positive and motivating working environment for all.

Pay Range Data
We anticipate filling this position as an Application Engineer $69,100 - $ We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level.
We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
