    MMBR, an IWS company, and industry leader in Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) design, is seeking an experienced Application Engineer who will be a key member of the Sales Support function.

    Location: Our preference is for this person to live within a commutable distance of the Austin, TX office and work in a Hybrid capacity or 100% in office.

    RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

    • Analyzes specifications and contract documents to determine characteristics of job and to establish design and sales strategy.
    • Prepares technical proposals and bids in accordance with Sales and Engineering specifications. Generates proposals summarizing design basis, design approach, product selection, scope and pricing information.
    • Serves as a technical resource for Sales, representatives and end customers during sales meetings and proposal/bid development.
    • Develops new proposal materials and updates existing files to improve deliverables and response time.
    • Works closely with Engineering to understand current standards and provides feedback from Sales staff to facilitate product evolution.
    • Provide technical, engineering, and business strategy assistance to Sales, Technical Services, Product Design, and Project Management.
    • Maintain and protect all documentation for all projects and products.
    • Generate estimates for projects and products.
    • Maintain a positive and professional company culture that attracts and retains top talent.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • B.S. degree in Mechanical, Environmental or Chemical Engineering with 10+ years engineering work experience (preferred), or an MS degree with 7+ years' experience or equivalent work experience in the water & wastewater industry.
    • Must understand MBR technology and have a working knowledge of common membrane products used in MBR applications. Preferably, have 5+ years of experience designing, supplying, and or optimizing MBR systems.
    • Understanding of biological design concepts, mechanical equipment selections, hydraulics, process modeling using simulation software and overall wastewater treatment system design.
    • Ability to read, interpret and comment on process and instrumentation diagrams (PIDS), schematics, mechanical and civil drawings, and project specifications.
    • Basic understanding of electrical control systems and PLC programming.
    • Working knowledge of applicable codes, industry standards, and quality control procedures.
    • Requires knowledge of water and wastewater industry to include marketing, product application, equipment manufacturing, hydraulics and flow control, construction techniques and biological process.
    • Demonstrated verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Walking, climbing stairs, climbing on or around equipment, sitting, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting (35 lbs) may be required at times.

    Base Salary: $90k-125k annually*

    *The provided base salary range is used nationally. The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
