    Job Summary:
    The co-op program is an educational and clinical work experience for the high school students. The individual is responsible and accountable for performing a wide range of patient care tasks. The performance of tasks allows the care team to provide quality care.

    Job Duties:
    • The position will focus on providing patient care within a clinical scope of practice.
    • Fulfills designated responsibilities for ongoing continuum of care (non-assessment).
    • Identifies, observes, and documents the physical needs of the patient according to standards.
    • Assists with patient transfer and transport as needed.
    • Assists in problem solving, trouble shooting, and taking corrective measures in care and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
    • Assists in clerical responsibilities as required for task completion.
    • Suggests issues for improvement and offer solutions on issues.
    Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.     This is an excellent opportunity to join our pharmacy team as a student learner The Pharmacy Clinical Co-Op is for students entering their senior year of high school in 2024, and will introduce the student to the many career opportunities in Pharmacy. The pharmacy has Co-Op opportunities in many locations throughout the Geisinger footprint, including Danville, Wilkes-Barre, Lewistown, Shamokin, Scranton, and many other locations
