- Secure orders from existing and potential customers by means of visiting the customer facility or contacting them by phone/email/text.
- Secure opportunities to quote on customer requirements and present to inside sales team timely.
- Follow up (by phone or visit) on quotations submitted to customers.
- Establish professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate customer personnel (purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, management, and/or other key personnel).
- Submit regular activity/call reports concerning customer-related activities for quotes, orders, and problems concerning customer/vendor relationships, including the use of CRM tools (i.e. ).
- Perform all assigned duties in the assigned sales territory.
- Provide a territory sales forecast on a monthly and yearly basis.
- Manage Manufacturer Sales Reps within territory by supporting and determining sales forecast for each person/firm.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or five years' experience in a power transmission industry desired.
- Outside sales experience of 5 or more years.
- Experience in industries including: mechanical power transmission, agriculture, power generation, metals, food processing, general industrial, steel, aluminum, cement, and more.
- Gearbox repair experience desired.
- Sales hunter mentality required.

Brad Foote Gear Works is hiring a Regional Sales Manager responsible for new business growth of high precision machining, high-quality gearing, and gearbox solutions. The Regional Sales Manager will work remotely anywhere in the region and travel roughly 60% of the time through the region of Illinois, Southern Indiana, Kentucky, and Eastern Missouri. Industries include but are not limited to mechanical power transmission, agriculture, power generation, food processing, general industrial, steel, aluminum, cement, and more. This position will continually develop industry intelligence through attending conferences, meetings, and industry journals. Utilizing this industry information, the Sales Manager will forecast trends and opportunities for business growth through existing and prospective customers.
