Hanover Foods Corporation located in Hanover PA is currently seeking a
Processor B position. This position is primarily responsible for operating the horizontal pressure sterilizing retorts, hydrostatic, and the FMC Sterilmatic cookers.


Primary responsibilities

  • Operates the horizontal pressure sterilizing retorts, hydrostatic, and FMC Sterilmatic cookers with mínimal supervision.
  • Loads and unloads retorts when required.
  • Sterilizes and cooks product according to Quality Assurance specifications.
  • Determines that process indicator paint has been properly applied and verifies that indicator paint has turned color (pink to white) indicating that the product has been properly cooked.
  • Responsible for physically lifting up to 100 pounds.
  • Keeps area clean in accordance with good housekeeping practices.
  • Adheres to common safety practices and regulations including the wearing of protective equipment and clothing as required.
  • Adheres to the Company's plant hygiene standards to ensure high product integrity.
  • Reports any mechanical and/or safety issues to Supervisor immediately.
  • Should not leave work area unless given permission by the Supervisor and/or Leadperson.
  • Responsible for the execution of food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to: GMP's, HACCP, safety, product quality, food security, plant security, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor and/or Leadperson.

  • Must be able to work overtime as required
