Responsibilities:
The Wok Chef is responsible for prepping ingredients, preparing, cooking, and plating menu items in accordance with the restaurant's recipes and specifications.
*Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies *Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces) *Cook menu items in coordination with the rest of the kitchen staff *Answer, report, and follow chef's instructions *Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion *Comply with nutrition and all sanitation regulations and safety standards
Qualifications
*Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook, or prep cook *Follows directions for preparing, cooking, and plating using Three Chamber Gas Wok *Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures *Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks and following recipes *Familiar with industry's best practices
Available shifts and compensation:
Available shifts all days except Mondays and Wednesdays. Compensation is $20.00/hour.
