Position Purpose:


The Housekeeping Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe health care environment by daily cleaning and supplying of patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, bathrooms, offices, departments, and other assigned areas.


What you will do:


  • Performs cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed department guidelines.
  • Executes proper cleaning procedure as observed by the Supervisor following patient discharges.
  • Demonstrates efficient, costeffective and safe use of housekeeping equipment and solutions as observed by the Supervisor.
  • Performs other special assignments, which may be assigned by the Supervisor or required by the needs of the Hospital.
  • Contributes to the philosophy of quality care and human dignity at the hospital.
  • Contributes to the effective operation of the hospital by demonstrating dependability in job performance.

Physical Demands:


  • This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day.
  • The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • High School diploma or (GED) preferred, not required.
  • Housekeeping experience preferred, not required.
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to work alternate weekends & Holidays.
