- Supervise import/export traffic and comply with relevant regulations
- Process and verify import/export and U.S. Customs documentation
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to maintain consistency in the import/export process
- Monitor import/export shipments, ensuring timeliness, and addressing issues proactively
- Handle special or expedited shipments effectively
- Ensure correct application of duty tariff codes on shipments and manage customs duty tariff changes
- Address customs and trade compliance matters and report as per standards
- Identify opportunities to reduce import and export costs through duty exemptions and trade agreements
- Manage Importer Security Filings (ISF) compliance
- Participate in contract negotiations and prepare statistical data
- Support Duty Drawback claims process
- Stay updated on international logistics and compliance changes and provide strategic insights
- 2 to 4 years of experience in International Logistics and Trade Compliance
- Bachelor's degree in Global Logistics Management or related field
- Familiarity with Oracle, SAP, or Syteline is preferred
- Knowledge of USMCA and Duty Drawback program is advantageous
- Understanding of hazardous materials regulations and related standards is a plus
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and project management abilities
- Ability to multitask and ensure timely task completion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Experience with 3PL is desirable
- Must be legally eligible to work in the US without sponsorship

ROLE OVERVIEW:
As the Import/Export Operations & Compliance Specialist, you will take charge of managing daily inbound and outbound logistics operations, ensuring compliance, coordinating communication and negotiations with freight partners, and keeping abreast of available U.S. Customs programs. Your role will involve analyzing, developing, and implementing procedures to align with departmental and corporate goals.
