Description

Novaspect, Inc, an Emerson Local Business Partner, the global leader of process systems and solutions, is currently offering an opportunity for a Jr.

Network Administrator to join our fast paced, customer-oriented team in our Schaumburg, IL location. The successful candidate will assist the IT department with the support of user and enterprise-based computer systems.

Junior Network Administrator Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Network Infrastructure Management:
Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's local and wide-area networks.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal efficiency.
Collaborate with senior network administrators to implement network security measures.

System Administration:
Provide support in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers and network equipment.
Assist in managing user accounts, permissions, email, and anti-virus programs.
Ensure system and network availability, reliability, and scalability.

Technical Support:
Respond to user inquiries and troubleshoot issues related to network connectivity and hardware.
Collaborate with the IT helpdesk to provide timely resolution to technical problems.
Document and maintain network and system configurations.

Security Compliance:
Work with the IT security team to implement and enforce security policies and procedures.
Conduct regular security audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance security measures.

Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network and system components.
Communicate technical information to non-technical staff in a clear and understandable manner.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing projects.

Requirements

Junior Network Administrator Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience with network administration and system support.
Familiarity with networking protocols, security protocols, and hardware components.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are a plus.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a small, distributed team
2-3 years of experience within IT

Junior Network Administrator Pay:

Compensation base:
$70- $80K

5% Bonus

Junior Network Administrator Typical Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 7:30/8am - 4:30/5pm
Flexibility to work outside regularly scheduled/normal business hours as required
Travel up to 25%
